Sustainability and Natural Fibres

Sustainability and Natural Fibre

sustainability /səˌsteɪnəˈbɪlɪti/
noun
the ability to be maintained at a certain rate or level

Natural fibres such as hemp and cotton are resources that come from the environment on which all life on Earth depends. Being sustainable is to interact with the environment in a manner that ensures our future generations have enough resources left for them.

By November 2022, there are more than eight billion people on Earth. Because these billions of people use the planet’s resources every day, a simple step we take today will leave a footprint that can be seen in the future.

Take a look at the benefits of two natural fibres: hemp and organic cotton, and see if you can identify the ones that are related to sustainability, if not all.
